In the room.
Never in the way.
If this feels like yours,
let’s talk.
We take on a small number of weddings each year so we can give every one of them everything. If your date is still open and this resonates reach out. The conversation is always free.
Start the conversationThere is a moment at every wedding usually about thirty seconds long where everything that actually matters is happening. Not the scheduled version. The real one. The exhale after the ceremony ends. The look between you and your dad that neither of you saw coming.
I built my entire approach around being ready for those thirty seconds. Which means the other eight hours, I’m quiet. I’m watching. I’m not directing the story I’m following it.
Film taught me how to see. It slows everything down and forces you to commit to what matters. That economy of attention is in every frame I make, whether I’m shooting on film or not.
Still hands.

- St. Louis raised, film-obsessed, still shoots on a Pentax
- The one who throws the shot list out the second something real starts happening
- Rewatches the same stories every year and refuses to apologize for it
- Light-chaser first. Schedule-enforcer never.
- Megan will tell you I’m relentless. She means it as a compliment. Mostly.

Megan
- The one who spots the grandmother wiping her eyes three rows back before I do
- Responsible for every couple actually relaxing during portraits
- Has genuinely better people instincts than me I am endlessly grateful for it
- The reason this whole thing exists her worst day became our purpose
- Somehow both the calmest person in the room and the one who notices everything
We got married and came home
to strangers in our photos.
What it’s actually like
to work with us.

No poses, no counting down from three, no “look at the camera again.” We work with conversation, not commands. Most couples forget we’re there. That’s exactly the goal.
Your day has enough moving parts. We arrive with a plan, we adapt without drama, and we handle everything that would otherwise end up on your plate. You hired us so you could live the day we take that seriously.
We are not maximizing for volume. Every couple we say yes to gets the full version of us rested, present, obsessed with their story. If we’re a fit, we want to be all the way in. Not spread thin across forty weekends.
Film-inspired editing. True color. Zero filters that’ll look dated in five years. In twenty years your photos should feel like the day actually felt warm, honest, and completely yours.
